Lego Star Wars First Impressions

My six-year-old son got the Lego Star Wars game for the PS2 for his birthday. We played the first couple of chapters of Episode I together with me as Qui-Gon and him as Obi-Wan. I can see why some reviewers complained about the camera. I got pushed off a cliff once simply because my son died and respawned behind where the camera was showing. To bring everything into frame I was mercilessly tossed to my doom. I also was used to games like Jedi Academy where your character automatically blocks incoming fire with his lightsaber. You have to press and hold the attack button to block here. Other than that it has been a blast. It looks great, it's easy to pick up, and it's something my son (who isn't a big video game guy) and I can play together. It's Lego and Star Wars--what more do you need to know?
