MS Offers Bounty on Virus Authors

Microsoft announced that it is offering a quarter-million dollar bounty on the authors of the SoBig virus and MSBlast worm. While I wouldn't mind seeing both of those guys brisky beaten with all kinds of gardening implements, I have to wonder if this is the best approach. Maybe dropping half a million on programmers who can write secure code might be a better option. Of course, MS has plenty of spare cash, so it may be cheaper to stay in the bounty hunting business. Thanks Blue's News.

In a totally unrelated note, Blue linked to today's FoxTrot especially for all of us webmasters out there. Personally, I believe that Jason would have used CSS.
