Quicken 98 Follow-Up

After perusing Google Groups a little further, I came across this article that gave information on how to get online registering to work with Quicken 98. Mind you, I was never able to register online from the moment I got it. In case that link breaks in the future, here's the details:

  1. Backup c:\windows\QUICKEN.INI
  2. Open QUICKEN.INI in Notepad and delete everything in the section [Internet]
  3. Replace that section with this:
    [Internet]
    Stay_Connected=TRUE
    StockPriceURL=http://www.intuit.co.uk/investments/sharestart.htm
    BaseUrl=http://onlmain.quicken.com/bin/onlb/
    DataDownloadCgi=http://onlpatchuk.quicken.com/bin/onlc/datadld3x.cgi
    StockQuoteCgi=http://onlpatch1.quicken.com/bin/onlb/stockqt2.cgi
    CurrencyRateDownload=http://www.intuit.de/currency/data_de.txt
    PatchDownloadCgi=http://onlpatchuk.quicken.com/bin/onlc/datadld3x.cgi
    UpdateDirCgi=http://onlmain.quicken.com/bin/onlb/updatedir.cgi
    CreditCheckCgi=http://onlmain.quicken.com/bin/onlb/credchk2.cgi
    AdServerCgi=http://onlad.quicken.com/adsv/adServer.asp
    Disconnect_Type=0
    Timeout=5
    UpdateOnStartup=FALSE
    RegisterCgi=http://registerqt.intuit.com/icreg/icswreg.asp
    ExCurr=0

After I did that, everything worked fine.
