GPL == Scared? -- 11:44 pm CST, Update by A.T. Hun

Evan Leibovitch wonders aloud if the GPL exists not so much for freedom, but more out of fear, namely the fear that your code will become a part of a closed source project. BSD fans could care less and are happy if their stuff gets used that way. Personally, I think this fear--the fear of closed source software--is the only reason the GPL is as popular as it is.
