Linux Kernel 2.2 and 2.4

The Duke of URL offers a detailed comparison between Linux kernel 2.2 and 2.4 so you can see if you want to upgrade or not. I'm hoping that the next version of Mandrake or Red Hat will at least give you the option of using the 2.4 kernel. I know they can use the 2.3.x ones, but I don't feel the urge to jump through all the hoops to get 2.4 running. I spotted this on Slashdot.
