Bleh

I received my copy of Quake 4 on Wednesday. Thank you Eeyore :-). I put in about an hour and a half on it Wednesday and about 40 minutes last night. Now, if only I was a better shot . . .

HL2: Lost Coast Released

The Steam news page has word that Valve has released the Lost Coast add-on for Half-Life 2. This is the High Dynamic Range demo for HL2, and it requires a monster machine to run:

I know none of us have anything near this machine. I have ONE of these bullets matched (memory). Ouch.

A.T. Hun comments: Yikes. My computer is about half that. Of course, I'd have to run it under Cedega too. I can only imagine what a PITA that would be.

Anyone else smell that greed?

Exxon's $10B net a U.S. corporate record -- does anyone else smell all that greed in the oil industry? And hey, Exxon's profits were HINDERED by losses in their chemicals division. Gotta love that 75% profit improvement. I guess I was right to feel abused when I saw the gas prices at the pump.

You know, I think Penny Arcade did a comic on a similar issue.
