Slackware 10 Hits the Streets -- 8:18 am CST, Update by J.t.Qbe
It's out: Slackware 10 has just been released. Looks like it has a lot of improvements I've been waiting for; now I'm going to have to figure out this BitTorrent thingy so I can actually get it.
A.T. Hun comments: I'm downloading it. Slowly (very slowly) but surely. I think that's the first time I've ever seen a BitTorrent link get Slashdotted.
Update! Well, my downloads are done and the CDs are burned. Maybe this weekend I can upgrade my box. I've got some major backing up to do first.

DOOM3 Release Date? -- 10:28 am CST, Update by A.T. Hun
Several sites are reporting a release date of August 3 for DOOM3. Nothing official has been heard from id just yet. I hope that's right, but all along id has said that the official release date will be "When It's Done."
