Welcome to Draft Day!

Today is the day when hundreds of New Yorkers get liquored up and go to see the NFL draft live and in person to relay their joy ("You suck!") or disappointment ("You suck!") at whomever the Jets or Giants pick. This is the day when even Lions fans like me can dream our little dreamy dreams about one day celebrating a Super Bowl victory. Not that that's going to happen in my lifetime, but hey, it's fun to pretend.

Pyrogon Postmortem

Brian Hook (formerly of id) wrote a postmortem for his gaming company called Pyrogon. It's a good look at how even success can kill you (or at least how success can go away at great speed). Read it if you are even moderately interested in the "other side" of the gaming biz or considering getting into it yourself. Thanks Evil Avatar.
