BayStar Explains -- 8:37 am CST, Update by A.T. Hun

BayStar's Lawrence R. Goldfarb explained why they asked SCO for their money back. It wasn't because they suddenly felt that SCO's suits had no merit (of course, they wouldn't admit that even if they felt that way), but because they felt that Darl and others were spending way too much time and money shooting their mouths off. They don't come right out and say they want Darl out, but that's the gist. Thanks Ars Technica.

The Master comments: And yet SCOX is up a $1.40 today. I swear, this is the anti-stock. It goes UP on bad news.

A.T. Hun comments: I'm guessing that the increase is on the news that their CFO is retiring (Groklaw bids him a fond farewell). The price is still quite a bit off their 52-week high. There are probably enough "optimists" out there who feel that the stock might still spike somewhere along the line to make it worth the risk. I personally don't have that kind of risk tolerance. I have thought that it would be fun to buy some stock and show up at a stockholders' meeting, though :)

Half-Life 2 Rant -- 8:46 pm CST, Update by A.T. Hun

Kevin "Fragmaster" Bowen spews forth a mighty rant on Valve and Half-Life 2 as he resigns as PlanetHalfLife webmaster. Regardless of whether you agree with him or feel its just a guy venting his spleen unnecessarily, you have to agree that its a mighty fine Masteresque rant.

UT2K4 Dev Tools released -- 6:29 pm CST, Update by The Master

Blue has gotten word that Epic has released the UT2K4 UnrealScript Development Environment for developing new scripts for UT2K4 levels. You will also need the UT2004 v3186 UnrealScript source code download.
