Well, Hell month ends for me tomorrow afternoon. I hope I don't face another one like it for a long time. I had another one like it in October of 1997. Hopefully that means that I'll only run in to one of these every six years. 2009 doesn't seem far enough away . . .

The good news is that I happen to have some unforeseen cash right about the time that Jedi Academy is due to be released! My guess would be that Best Buy will have it on sale the week of the 22nd. I'll keep an eye out for deals when it is released on the 17th.

Downloadable Mandrake == Adware -- 9:57 am CST, Update by A.T. Hun

Mandrake has started a new program in which ads will be placed in the installer, bookmarks, and screensavers in the downloadable version of Mandrake Linux 9.2. Apparently they felt that the company was not in enough financial trouble. If they want to make sure that fewer Linux users use their distro, this is a great way to do it. Thanks Slashdot.
