Jedi Academy SP Demo Released -- 10:57 pm CST, Update by A.T. Hun

Lucasarts has released a 187M demo for their upcoming game Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy. The demo includes two single-player levels. JediKnight.Net has a list of mirrors. I had hoped to have this already. Unfortunately, I stepped away from my computer and the download puked about half way through. I'll report on how well this works (or doesn't work) with WineX.

UPDATE! Short answer: no, it doesn't. The demo installs fine, but complains it needs DirectX 9.0a. No soup for me . . . at least for now.

NFL Week #1 -- 6:32 pm CST, Update by The Master

Well, it's the start of a new NFL season, and I'm sure A.T. would have been posting the opening picks, but I think he might be a bit occupied today, so here's Eeyore's pick for today: Redskins. We'll post the rest Saturday.

Many congratulations to A.T. and the Hun family on the arrival of the latest Hun early this morning. Years ago A.T. told me that he wanted to have his own (baseball|soccer) team, and apparently he wasn't kidding!

A.T. Hun comments: We even broke "The Haus Curse." It's a girl! So now the score for The Haus staff stands at six boys, one girl.
