NWN Linux Client: Beta 5 -- 9:08 am CST, Update by A.T. Hun

Bioware has released beta five of their Linux client for Neverwinter Nights. It includes these fixes:

• fixes the problem of shadows and floor triggers not being visible with some graphics cards
• packaged with a recommended SDL library, loading of the library is controlled through the LD_LIBRARY_PATH variable in the nwn script
• improved handling of international characters

The first item on that list is the only issue I have had with beta four. I've played the single-player campaign from beginning to end with not so much as a hiccup otherwise.

DOOM III Interview -- 3:36 pm CST, Update by A.T. Hun

Gamespot posted an interview with id's Tim Willits about the game that absolutely everyone with a pulse and a PC is looking forward to: DOOM III. I've a feeling that more than a few boxes are going to be upgraded when that bad-boy comes out. The interview even includes a sweet new screenshot. Thanks Blue's News.
