Carmack on Vista, DX10, and More

Game Informer sat down with id's John Carmack and Todd Hollenshead to talk about Vista, DX10, Xbox 360 vs. PS3, and a host of other issues. As always, The Carmack's answers are thought-provoking. He's not a fanboy of anyone or anything. He is a pure pragmatist. I've always admired and respected him for that. Thanks HardOCP.

Update Thursday: The final four pages of the interview have been added to the above link. The id boys talk about the Wii, Steam, Quakecon, and even the DOOM movie.

Pegasus is Dead - Long Live Pegasus

According to a post on the front page of the Pegasus Mail webpage, David Harris has decided to discontinued development and distribution of the Pegasus mail client and the Mercury mail server. I was a long-time loyal user of this free client. It's sad to see it go.

Effective January 2007, development and distribution of Pegasus Mail and Mercury has ceased. We regret this decision, but ongoing difficulties with funding have forced it upon us.
