WRT54G 1.01.1 Firmware OK with Linux/Mac -- 6:28 pm CST, Update by A.T. Hun

At long last, Linksys has released the 1.01.1 firmware for WRT54G v5 and v6 routers. You may remember the previous story on the 1.01.0 firmware that broke DHCP for Linux and Mac boxen. It took them long enough, but they finally got new firmware out to fix the problem. I tested it and it seems to work fine.

Cell Phone/Cancer Link Debunked -- 11:05 am CST, Update by A.T. Hun

A very large study of Danish cellphone users from 1982-1995 (and tracking the rate of cancer through 2002) indicates that there was no link between cellphone use and cancer. As a matter of fact, the cellphone users had a slightly lower rate of cancer than the norm. The study looked at almost 500,000 people, a huge amount of data. That's good news for cellphone users, even the ones I might occasionally wish a brain tumor upon.
