Dealing with winmail.dat -- 7:54 pm CST, Update by A.T. Hun
I finally came across a solution for all of the idiots people who insist on sending attachments via Outlook with Rich Text turned on. MS designed Outlook without any concern that other email programs might not know what to do with the albatross known as winmail.dat. Thankfully, tnef can get the attachments out of the winmail.dat file so that they can be dealt with. It's easier to use that than to try to show the average Outlook user how not to send everything in Rich Text. Did I mention that I hate MS?
Mplayerplug-in Fix -- 12:25 pm CST, Update by A.T. Hun
I managed to find a fix for the problems that I was having with certain videos and the mplayerplug-in with Firefox. I edited the ~/.mplayer/mplayerplug-in.conf file and changed the first line from vo=xv to vo=x11 to change the video driver that it has mplayer use. I'm not sure why that fixed the problems that I was having with streaming videos but now I can actually play them.
More Linux on PS3 -- 10:12 am CST, Update by A.T. Hun
Linux Games has a news blurb containing various resources for running Linux on a PS3. There's even a YouTube video showing Fedora Core 5 running on a PS3. If you don't think that's cool, you pretty much need your geek card rescinded.

NFL Week #11 -- 5:27 pm CST, Update by A.T. Hun
First of all, last week I went 7-9 while Eeyore was 9-7. I think Billy the Incontinent Monkey could pick NFL games better than I can right now. Year-to-date I'm 83-60 (.580) while she is 91-52 (.636). Here's my hopeless picks for this week. Shoot me. Steelers, Patriots, Chiefs, Dolphins, Saints, Bears, Eagles, Redskins, Panthers, Ravens, Texans, Lions, Seahawks, Colts, Broncos, Giants. I can officially say that I am confident in none of these picks. I can also say that the Buffalo-Houston, Detroit-Arizona, and Washington-Tampa Bay games should not be inflicted on anyone.
The Master comments: Eeyore's differences for this week: Vikings, Jaguars. I don't know how you could pick anything without a coin toss this week.
