QTest Turns 10

This milestone was actually late last week, but the QTest demo turned 10 and Joost Schuur reminisced on the release in his blog. I remember firing up QTest on my P90 and being blown away. Not to mention seeing the NiN logo and thinking it was a big joke. It's amazing how a 3 level demo changed everything in gaming.

Spam Stomper?

According to a ZD Net article, Microsoft is trying out using a Dance-Dance Revolution style controller for operating PCs. Doing a two-foot stop deletes spam. Cute. But I'd prefer a red-button nuke launch at the offending spammer myself.

A.T. Hun comments: Well, that's the stupidest thing I've heard out of Microsoft . . . this morning.

HL2: Episode 1 Info

Valve has released a short news blurb on Steam about the impending Episode 1 add-on for Half-Life 2. The screenshot they include looks interestingly moody. I am looking forward to this release and the impending Sin 2 episode as well. It'll be nice to have some new games to play again . . .

A.T. Hun comments: Actually, it's not truly an "add-on" any more. It's a standalone game. You won't need HL2 to play it. I really liked HL2, despite the fact that it played like garbage on my box. I like the idea of playing with Alyx more. Pun definitely intended. I thought that the interaction with her was one of the best parts of the game.
