Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope everyone had a happy Thanksgiving Day. I think I've recovered from both the Lions game (hey, those new unis are sharp though) and the tryptophan coma. It's almost eerily quiet around here now that our company has left. Qbe has something to be thankful for since he seems to have found gainful employment once again. I've got a ton of things to be thankful for, but in my line of work, this week is exceedingly busy. Maybe I'll have time to ponder the concept of thankfulness next week :)

J.t.Qbe comments: A.T. speaks the truth (for a change): on Tuesday I received a great job offer, after almost a full week of unemployment. I'll be starting on December 15. The downside is that it's a 75-mile commute each way. The upside is that it's a 25% pay raise. I think I can live with that.

A.T. Hun comments: Not bad for a guy with no discernable skills.

J.t.Qbe comments: Thanks for reminding me that I could've been a politician instead.

Quake 4 Demo Next Week

There was a version of the Quake 4 demo that accidentally was released earlier. Unfortunately, it's buggy. The folks at id ask everyone to wait until the official release next week sometime. I'm hoping that there's a Linux demo to go with it so I can see if it would actually run on my box or not.

Thanksgiving NFL Picks

Eeyore and I are in agreement with our picks for tomorrow's games: Falcons, Broncos. Having said that, I get nervous picking both road teams . . .

Xbox 360 Problems?

According to Xbox-Scene, some folks are having problems with their new Xbox 360s locking up on them. There's even a movie of a crash in action. Of course, I wonder if this is an Xbox 360 problem, user error, or what. This is the main reason why I'm not an early adopter. I let others work out the kinks first. :) Thanks Slashdot.

A.T. Hun comments: Loyal reader Zombie reports that he had no problem playing Rainbow Six 3 (and original Xbox title) on his Xbox 360 for three hours last night. We'll have to have him keep up updated on how things go. I'm sure he won't have a problem with that :)
