NFL Week #10 Final

I'd like to thank the Eagles' coaching staff for inexplicably calling a pass that led to their 21-20 defeat last night and made sure that Eeyore and I would be 10-4 in our picks this weekend. Year-to-date that makes me 93-51 (.646) while she is 95-49 (.660). I predict that she will claim that she has the same picks as I do for the rest of the season so that she will win by two games. :) Conspiracy theorists, unite!

By way of comparison, last year after the 10th week I was 87-57 (.604) while Eeyore was 84-60 (.583). So I'm six games better than last year but I'm still behind!

The Master comments: I know for a fact that she had her picks done an hour before you posted this weekend. So nah :-)

Pondering the Imponderable

I try to teach my kids to share, but their various illnesses I wish they would keep to themselves. I've been fighting some bug for a week now. Unlike last Monday I can actually think/function today. Nothing like adding an all-day meeting on Friday (along with a 2.5 hour drive) to make you feel better. Or not.

I ordered a Boxwave Crystal screen protector for my Palm TX and decided to order a new one for my Tungsten E that I was passing down to my wife. The old Boxwave lasted two full years on that one! The new one for the T|E was a tight fit. I forced a bit of it under the bezel. Unfortunately, that caused the digitizer to stop functioning! Once I removed the protector it worked again, but now the screen whines. Sigh. I also snagged a new EB Cases Slipper case for my TX. They are quite swank.

I was using Pocket Tunes on my TX and a WiFi connection to listen to the Hard Radio Ogg Vorbis stream today. If that isn't geek Nirvana, I'm not sure what is. Even though I've really been beating on the TX, I'm still only recharging it twice a week. Now that I've let it run down a few times, I'll probably mainly trickle-charge it through the USB cable.

In other news, my wife and I beat the original Ratchet and Clank this past week. Loyal reader Zombie has been singing the praises of Ratchet: Deadlocked, so I've got a feeling that that might show up on a Christmas list. It's funny that my wife rolled her eyes when I originally suggested getting a PS2. Now she plays it much more than I do!

NFL Week #10 So Far

Since we had the same picks, naturally Eeyore and I are tied at 9-4. It'd be nice if we could cap everything off with a victory tonight. Double-digit victories are always A Good Thing. In other news, my Fightin' Wombats continued their relentless assault on the regular season, winning 111-84. This despite the fact I lost my leading rusher, Priest Holmes, for the season. I lead my league at 8-1-1.
