I'm Tired -- 9:18 pm CST, Update by A.T. Hun

I got oil changes for my car and van this week, but they were way more expensive than I anticipated. I knew my car was going to need new tires so that wasn't a big shocker. Turns out that the van needed them too. Because of alignment problems, the tires wore out on the inside but looked great on the outside. Unfortunately, the van tires are twice as expensive. One of the van tires had worn so much that metal was beginning to show through. Of course, the only thing worse than getting them replaced is not getting them replaced and then being stranded with four kids in the middle of nowhere.

PBS's Robert X. Cringely launched NerdTV, which is intended to give in-depth interviews with important computer industry figures. The first one is with Andy Hertzfeld, one of the first system programmers for the Macintosh. There is a complete program schedule on the site. NFL Week #1 Early -- 12:06 pm CST, Update by A.T. Hun

Yessir, it's that time of year! Time for Eeyore and my fearless NFL prognostication. The schedule kicks off tonight pitting the defending champs against the Raiders. My pick? Patriots.

The Master comments: Eeyore picked the same, so the early game starts as a tie. Game on :-)
