Bleh: WOOT! -- 8:49 pm CST, Update by The Master
After 3 weeks of agony, my new AMD Athlon-64 system actually POSTs. I am pleased, to say the least. Now, I get to spend the next week migrating my data to the new box, not to mention all my peripheral hardware. The boys will be ecstatic to have their own PC for the first time, when I'm done :-)

Phantom Stupidity -- 2:17 pm CST, Update by A.T. Hun
Infinium Labs has decided to seize the moral high ground in their dispute against HardOCP and had these tshirts printed up. Yep, a class act, that Inifinium Labs. Isn't this the kind of company that you'd just love to pour all kinds of investment capital into? Here's an idea, how about actually producing a Phantom console instead of coming up with "cool" tshirt designs?
J.t.Qbe comments: It isn't just Phantom stupidity...it's REAL stupidity.
IBM Opens Patents for Open Source -- 1:36 pm CST, Update by A.T. Hun
Slashdot brings word that IBM has opened up 500 of their software patents so that open source developers can use the technologies freely. Granted, this is only a small part of their patent portfolio, but it's a good start!
The Master comments: I'm waiting from Microsoft to call this selling out to Linux. That should be fun to debate.
Cedega 4.2.1 Released -- 10:51 am CST, Update by A.T. Hun
Transgaming has released Cedega 4.2.1, containing mainly tweaks and bug fixes. You can read the release notes and download a copy for yourself. I haven't tried it with Half-Life 2 yet, but I'm not expecting massive performance improvements.
