Bleh -- 1:09 pm CST, Update by The Master

Our boys got new bunk beds for Christmas this year. We just finished reassembling them after finding out that none of the parts could climb our apartment stairs without massive reconstruction of the hallway. Much fun ensued, including me twisting my ankle something fierce climbing over the bottom bunk looking for a missing bolt. Thankfully I can walk on it. But they seem to be very pleased with the results, so game on.

First of all, I want to wish everyone a merry Christmas from everyone here at The Haus. You can definitely tell that it is winter here. My wife said that when she took the dog out this morning, the thermometer just outside our back door said that it was a nice brisk -20°F. Add in the wind chill and, well, let's just not think about it. Of course, once we get into Monday the Weather Channel is saying that the highs will all be over freezing. As a matter of fact, the high for Thursday is 45°F! Nothing like a 65° swing in less than a week.
