Pondering the Imponderable

Hmm, winter must've started yesterday or something. Right now the temperatures are a brisk -2°F here with -18°F wind-chills. That's almost 30 degrees below the average high for this time of year. The seven or eight inches of snow we got in the past couple of days make everything look nice. We'll definitely have a white Christmas (with a side order of slush).

I'm at the point in Half-Life 2 where you get four squad mates. They seem to get in my way more than anything else. Thankfully there doesn't seem to be team damage so I can shoot through them. Unfortunately, my framerates are in the single digits, making "aiming" a relative term at best. I hope the folks at Transgaming can work out a speed boost for the game. This is nightmarish now.

NFL Week #15 Final

The improbable Dolphins comeback last night left Eeyore and me tied at 10-6. Overall I am 145-79 (.647) while Eeyore is 141-83 (.629). It's funny how the last couple of Monday night games were supposed to be dogs, but actually ended up being quite exciting. I wonder if anyone watched . . .

The Master comments: And here we were watching the 2nd disk of the extended Return of the King DVD last night :-)
