Cassandra Project for DeusEx released

The Cassandra Project, a new Deus Ex mod located over on Deus Ex Machina, has been released for download. There's a stack of mirros on the home page. This looks interesting; unfortunately I can barely play DX on my machine, since it doesn't seem to like Windows 2000 much. Ah, well. Another reason to get Windows ME reinstalled :-/

Pondering the Imponderable

Well, I'm back home and hopefully ready to get back to work. I installed Mozilla 1.4 final and found to my joy that there are updated versions of the mail spellchecker and my favorite skin, Pinball, to go along with the new release. Joy!

Speaking of "Joy!", I finally got a chance to watch the tape of Ren and Stimpy that we made while we were gone. Let's just say that my enthusiasm has waned somewhat. It seems like John K. has gone for the easy gross-out gag. Granted, RnS has always had plenty of gross-out gags, but this seemed like there was no point other than too see how gross they could be. I could have done without the "relationship" between the two too. I'll keep watching and hope things improve. I know they are going to show some of the old classics eventually, which I'm really looking forward to.

UPDATE! DSL is fast. DSL is good. DSL is fast and good. (Just in case anybody wondered . . . It's good to go back to dialup for a bit just to appreciate it.)
