Pondering the Imponderable

Just a few quick notes before I dart off for a conference. The NFL draft is in full swing and my beloved Lions got their man, MSU's Charles Rogers. Hopefully Harrington-to-Rogers will one day be known as well as, say, Aikman-to-Irvin. The nice thing about the draft and the off-season is that you can dream big, before the actual season comes around and crushes you mercilessly.

I'm nearly at the end of Neverwinter Nights. I've played through the whole thing in Linux. Some have griped about the single-player campaign, but I've found it enjoyable. I don't think I could even count up the number of hours I've put into it. Whatever the case, I certainly got my money's worth. Hmmm, just in time for Shadows of Undrentide to come out. Hmmm . . .

One last thing, I'm sick to death of those stupid "The Real Cancun" Flash ads. They make me want to shoot out my monitor. Apparently New Line is going for the coveted "Girls Gone Wild" demographic.
