Freelancer...Gold?

Well, it isn't a primary source, but Lancer's Reactor is reporting that Freelancer has gone gold. Might want to wait for a more official source before breaking out the beer, but it'll be cool if it's true.

A.T. Hun comments: It's been confirmed. The game has gone gold and will appear in stores on March 4. I hope there's a demo to try out. And here I wasn't going to buy anymore Windows games . . .

Unreal Exploit Announced

Blue has gotten word that there is a major DoS/DDoS/UDP exploit issue with the Unreal engine series of games posted on BugTraq. This exploit was reported to Epic, but they dropped the ball and did not get it fixed before the issue was reported to the community in general. Blue has posted an article detailing the patch plans to fix this.
