WTC Scrap to Become U.S.S. New York -- 8:27 pm CST, Update by A.T. Hun

The Navy is looking into using some of the scrap metal from the World Trade Center towers as a part of the U.S.S. New York. The ship will be a San Antonio-class amphibious assault ship and should be ready for deployment in 2007. Hmmm, seems to me I could dream up a couple of good uses for that vessel. Thanks HardOCP.
