Winamp3 Final -- 9:53 am CST, Update by The Master

Winamp has finally released Winamp3 to the 'net. I have been playing with the betas since the first underground release, and with this final version I am quite pleased with the player. It worked well last night, the DirectX playback was much louder then in Winamp2, and it was very stable. I'm impressed.

A.T. Hun comments: Of course, if you're running Linux (and if you aren't, why not?), then you'll definitely want to check out XMMS. It works remarkably like Winamp and can even use Winamp skins.

NWN Linux Client Info Page -- 10:53 pm CST, Update by A.T. Hun

Bioware has put up the official information page for the Neverwinter Nights Linux client. There's not much there right now. It's basically a summary of Derek French's post from the other day (story). Nevertheless, there is an official source for news at last. Hopefully there will be some good news relatively soon.

NWN Pre-Order Modules Unlocked -- 10:38 pm CST, Update by A.T. Hun

Bioware has unlocked the three modules for Neverwinter Nights that were previously only available to those who had pre-ordered the game. The modules are To Heir is Human, The Winds of Eremor, and The Dark Ranger's Treasure. They are available from the NWN modules page.

More WorldCom "Errors" -- 10:02 am CST, Update by A.T. Hun

Word broke today that WorldCom has "discovered" another $3.3 billion in accounting errors, bringing their grand total to a staggering $7.1 billion. Wow, this is really turning into a bloodbath. Even worse, they say that this might not be the end. I wonder who has the cash or the desire to snap up their infrastructure which will no doubt sell for pennies on the dollar.
