Break CD Protection with a Pen

Normally I wouldn't post something like this, but since I feel that Sony's CD protection violates fair-use laws and playing the discs can even cause iMacs to lock up, I decided to go with it. Apparently you can circumvent Sony's copy-protection of compact discs with a felt-tip marker. I love it. Hope you paid a lot of money for that scheme, Sony. Jerks.

Anybody Need a Car?

I can offer you a great deal! I arrived in Michigan about an hour ago, but not without great difficulty. We had to stop when we had just gotten out of Illinois. Somebody blew a stop light, smashed into the front of the Hunmobile, and totalled it. Well, the insurance company hasn't seen it yet so it's not officially totalled, but the repair shop said they thought it was. So if you need a recent model Intrepid whose front is slightly off with the rest of the car, I can make you a deal. Thankfully, none of us were hurt in the slightest. Now we have to find a new family car . . .

SW: Galaxies update

There's a scad of screenshots online over on Sony Online Entertainment for their new Star Wars: Galaxies MMORPG. Included are shots of Yavin IV, Tatooine, and a Rancor rampaging all over the place. Good stuff.

DX2 first look

PC.IGN has a Deus Ex 2 "first look" online. They have an overview of the plot and locations in the game, and some screenshots; along with commentary from all the movers and shakers on the project. Thanks to Blue via Bearkey. Ed note: The full-page ads between pages are really annoying. Suck.
