Bring Out Your Dead! -- 8:26 pm CST, Update by A.T. Hun

MontyPython.net is reporting that one of my favorite movies, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, will be released in some theaters this summer! I must see this movie on the big screen. Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries! Thanks Slashdot for making my summer.

XFree86 4.1.0 Review -- 1:05 pm CST, Update by A.T. Hun

The Duke of URL has posted a review of XFree86 4.1.0, the recently released free X windowing system. 4.1.0 seems to give some very nice speed improvements. I may just have to upgrade, once I get all this wireless stuff sorted out. Thanks Slashdot.

Has anybody heard anything about the new Quake III Arena patch that was supposed to be released early next week? Oh, excuse me, that is "early next week" a month ago. Maybe I should stop holding my breath then.

A.T. Hun comments: Maybe :) Of course, I'd rather have it come out late and work than early and screw up, especially if it will break network compatibility.

Netscape 6.1 Released -- 6:15 pm CST, Update by A.T. Hun

Netscape has released version 6.1 of their web browser. This version is based on Mozilla 0.9.1. If you have been using Netscape 6, this is a must-upgrade. Or just get Mozilla 0.9.1 . . .

SoF Goes Gamespy -- 6:10 pm CST, Update by A.T. Hun

Raven's Rick Johnson updated his .plan with word of a new patch for Soldier of Fortune that will dump WON authentication.

As you may have read, we will be releasing a patch for SoF which will be adding direct GameSpy support. We've also addressed a few minor deathmatch issues. The patch is going through QA and should be out "soon". Around that time, I will also release a new SDK for SoF which will contain the SoF Gold Game source.

Hopefully Loki will have a similar patch for the Linux version soon.
