Stupid Webmaster Tricks

Don't try this at home, kids, but I am actually posting this from the command line in Linux using Lynx. Actually, I just wanted to see if it would work :) Having worked with the console in Linux, it is unbelieveably frustrating to try to use the command line in Windows. I had hoped to get the PalmOS programming tools installed in Windows too, but I gave up on it because the command line is just too obtuse.

J.t.Qbe comments: Install the Windows port of bash from Cygwin and you'll be all set. It's not as good as bash under Unix, but it's better than what you have now!

A.T. Hun comments: I've been trying . . . and subsequently failing.

Too Much Half-Life

Since Deathmatch Classic came out, I've been playing a bunch of that as well as getting back to finishing off Half-Life single player, which I'm only half way through. HL has quite a compelling story and probably the most interesting level design I've seen in a shooter. Unfortunately, it's also one of the harder shooters I've played.

I even made myself a multiplayer logo of the Red Wings' emblem. :)

The Master comments: Heh-I'm into "We've got Hostiles!" in the SP game. It is SOOO pretty on my current machine-on my old one the game was so bland and washed out. FWIW, however, Alice is defintely the hardest single-player game I've ever played. H-L is tame in comparison.
