Converting from Windows to Linux -- 10:03 am CST, Update by A.T. Hun

Troubleshooters.com tell how they converted from Windows to Linux. It's an interesting read for those of us planning, or at least considering, making that plunge. Sometime in the not-too-distant future I plan on doing just this. I'm going to basically do the reverse of what I'm doing now. I'll have the main partition be Linux with Win98 as a smaller partition, just in case there's something I must have that just won't work (most likely, certain games). Hopefully that day will be coming soon. Thanks Linux Today.

Pondering the Imponderable -- 6:44 pm CST, Update by A.T. Hun

I finally got the Half-Life: Blue Shift movie to download (I had to get it from FilePlanet). The high definition enhancements look pretty cool. It also noted that Opposing Force will be included with Blue Shift. Just another reason for me to get it. Of course, as I said before, I really should get back to finishing the original Half-Life.

A new exploit has been found in Internet Explorer 5.01 and 5.5. I could rather easily allow someone to execute an email attachment or a file embedded in a web page if it were given a bad MIME header. Check out this M$ security bulletin to download a patch. Thanks Slashdot.

WWII Online Interview -- 2:33 pm CST, Update by The Master

There's an interview on MacNN with some folks from Cornered Rat Software, developers of World War II Online. This looks like a cool game, I hope it's (a) reasonably priced and (b) accessible, since this is right up my alley >:-)
