Tribes 2 Linux Dedicated Server -- 10:07 pm CST, Update by A.T. Hun

Loki has released the Linux dedicated server for Tribes 2 (6.4M). It requires a Tribes 2 for Windows CD. You can read all about it in the README. As a matter of fact you'll have to, since I can't find any reference to it on Loki's site. Thanks Blue.

Ah yes, the old creative juices are a-flowin'! My first commentary is another one on the demise of the gaming networks. In this installment, I ask the musical question Will We Pay to Play? Will gamers shell out cash to keep their favorite sites afloat? Should they have to?

My second commentary is more light-hearted. It is my wishlist for Shogo 2. Granted, Shogo 2 has only been alluded to and not formally announced. But it got me thinking on what I'd like to see, should a sequel become a reality.

RA3 1.5 Released -- 9:04 am CST, Update by A.T. Hun

Version 1.5 of the RocketArena3 mod for Quake III Arena is available for download. It comes at a 90M full install or a 50M patch. I'm not sure why the file date on their download page is July 22 of last year, but that is the new file. It is available for Win32, Mac, and Linux.
