New Hun-Speak

A.T. has put together another Hun-Speak, "It's the ads, Stupid," with his take on the whole GameFan/GCA/UGO gaming networks and their cutting back/termination. This is the first in a multi-part series, so give it a read and wait anxiously for that next edition!

Bleh

Welp, our main man A.T. is going to be away from things for awhile, so while he's gone, I'll probably be covering more of the day-to-day news on The Haus. Don't be surprised if the volume slows a bit, my work schedule doesn't allow me a lot of time during the day for updates. I'll try to keep on it tho :-)

A.T. Hun comments: A word of advice: take great care when fiddling with running snow throwers. Otherwise you might have to learn to type left-handed for a while.

Bleh

Since it's a dead news day, I figured I'd throw up some thoughts on the latest E-ad on TV. Have you seen these IBM ads on TV lately? Oh, now you know it's time to call IBM. Blech. Lemme tell ya folks, in computing it's a dang cold day in hell when somebody can come into your shop and fix ALL your problems right now. Heck, our bandwidth problem at my place of work took a solid month to fix, and that was with the installation of a couple of switches. Gimme a break.

Pondering the Imponderable

Just when you think things couldn't get less interesting . . .

I've been trying out my new CD burner recently. I made a couple of compilation CDs of my favorite bands (namely, Dokken and They Might Be Giants). The software that came with the drive, a Sony CRX140E, is a little convoluted, but it's powerful once you figure it out. Of course, no paper manual or even a PDF was included. Two days ago I found a nice PDF manual on Sony's site for it. I have no idea why it wasn't included on the install CD. The best part is now I actually have decent backups of my important files.
