BloodBath 7 Screenshots -- 4:48 pm CST, Update by A.T. Hun
Wraith has put up some screenshots of BloodBath 7, currently in development. BloodBath is a mod for Shogo that cranks up the weapon firing rates and damage. It's an aweful lot of fun. The EZ-Net Shogo server is currently running BloodBath 6.Wraith has mentioned that he is focusing on single-player gameplay for BloodBath 7, including some of the models and textures that were to have been in the ill-fated Shogo add-on Legacy of the Fallen. Naturally, BB7 will work great in multiplayer. I can't wait until it's out!
Parsec -- 12:16 pm CST, Update by A.T. Hun
Check out Parsec, a new OpenGL, cross-platform, Internet multiplayer, space-combat game. They posted some cool new screen shots. The best part of all? It's going to be free! Check it out. I saw this on just about every news page.Carmack .plan Update -- 11:49 am CST, Update by A.T. Hun
In case you forgot who really owns the world, John Carmack (id's coding guru) updated his .plan today with his recent worklog. Here are a couple of extra juicy morsels:- spinning machinegun barrel (Whoop! Now maybe the machinegun will look more interesting.)
- sv_maxRate option to force all clients to play with a maxrate. This can be used to limit the advantage of LPB, or to cap bandwidth utilization for a server. Note that rate is ignored for clients that are on the same LAN. (You'd better believe that this one will be on the EZ-Net server! No more camping railgun LPBs here!)
- reduced client to server bandwidth by 35% (35%?!? Yikes! I thought that the 1.08 Q3Test felt laggy on my modem, looks like he nipped that one in the bud!)

PC Gamer Online has some new screenshots from Interstate '82. This looks like it could be a pretty cool game, assuming it ever comes out. Thanks VE.Even Newer WinAmp -- 10:40 am CST, Update by A.T. Hun
