NFL Week #9 Final -- 11:55 pm CST, Update by A.T. Hun

Here's the final tallies from this week's NFL action. I finished the weekend 10-4 while Eeyore was 8-6. Year-to-date I improve to 83-47 (.638). Eeyore is 73-57 (.562)

Carmack on the DOOM 3 Leak -- 9:46 pm CST, Update by A.T. Hun

id's John Carmack posted on Slashdot about the news that the E3 demo of DOOM 3 has been leaked. Reports are that it came from ATI, but I haven't seen official confirmation on that. Here's JC's rather terse post:

No, this was not leaked on purpose.

Yes, we are upset about it, and it will have some impact on how we deal with some companies in the future, but nothing drastic is going to change in terms of what support is going to be available.

Making any judgements from a snapshot intended for a non-interactive demo is ill advised.

Methinks someone at ATI (or wherever) is going to be looking for work tomorrow morning.

Q3A 1.32 Mac Patch Released -- 9:41 pm CST, Update by A.T. Hun

id's Graeme Devine updated his .plan with word that the final release of the 1.32 patch for Quake III Arena / Team Arena for the Mac has been posted to their FTP server. Check the update for all the fixes and links.
